Whether you are heading into town for the Winter Park Jazz Festival or just beating the city heat with a weekend in the mountains, be sure to stop by Cooper Creek Square this weekend. We have Live Music on Friday and Saturday night, eight restaurants to choose from, and 11 unique boutiques to shop right in downtown Winter Park, Colorado. Read below for more information about Music on The Square and Live Music Saturdays at Cooper Creek.
Ali and Beth bring their unique sound to Music on the Square this Friday, July 16, 6–8 pm. Nashville recording artist Ali Grayson’s music covers a range of emotions. Ali brings a deep, relational approach to songwriting, resulting in music that can serve as a soundtrack for life’s most poignant moments. Her soulful vocals pull from influences like Sarah Mclachlan, Brandi Carlile, Patty Griffin, and the like. Together with Beth Wilberger, they sing soulful tunes with tight harmonies, incorporating tasteful guitar, violin, and viola into their originals and covers. Their repertoire is extensive and expressive. The original songs written from an honest place give listeners the experience of genuine emotions with just the right amount of built-in “therapy session.”
Music On The Square is a summer concert series held every Friday through Sept. 3 from 6–8 pm at Cooper Creek Square in downtown Winter Park. The series is free and open to all ages. Grab takeout from any of the Cooper Creek restaurants and purchase your favorite beverage to take with you. Enjoy the music from our many outdoor tables and the event tent.
Saturday Live Music brings you The Big Time Quartet Jazz Fusion, July 17, 7–9 pm. The Big Time Quartet is a funk/jazz fusion group based out of Denver Colorado and draws their influence from the likes of Steely Dan, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Grant Green, and The Meters to name a few. A relatively new project, though all of the members have toured the country in other groups extensively. With a mutual love amongst the members for the sounds of funk/jazz, The Big Time Quartet was born, and each show is a unique and heavily improvised experience.
Meet up with friends in the courtyard and grab takeout from one of our Restaurant Row options for a fun night after the Winter Park Jazz Festival! If there is a bit of weather, no fear! The event tent is perfect for waiting out any spot showers with a takeout beverage. You can find cocktails, authentic margaritas, craft brews, wine, and more from our 8 Restaurants located around The Square.
