We are wrapping up our amazing Summer of Music at Cooper Creek Square with the final shows happening Labor Day Weekend! We have put on over 22 shows this Summer and have loved seeing new and returning faces week after week. We appreciate all of the patronages to our restaurants and shops and the cheers for the incredible artists that have taken the stage in the Cooper Creek courtyard. Do not miss these last two weekends, as we are really bringing it home with FIVE different artists performing over the next two weeks!
We are kicking off the next two weeks with our Music on The Square Friday night music series with Tight Like That on August 27th! Madison Area Music Award winners, Tight Like That, returns to Cooper Creek with their sound that critics call “hot, sultry and swingin’”. From original tunes to rippling New Orleans Jazz and R&B, Tight Light That will tickle your backbone and move your feet.
Saturday Live Music on August 28th is one you definitely don’t want to miss!! The Andrew Duhon Trio returns to Cooper Creek Square, 7-9 pm! New Orleans native and singer/songwriter, Andrew Duhon, brings a refreshing honesty to his performance. His voice leaves no gaps in the experience as he sings with raw and personal conviction. His latest group, The Andrew Duhon Trio brings a new musicality to the tunes with upright bassist, Myles Weeks and drummer, Maxwell Zemanovic. Since recording ‘The Moorings’ together as their first project, the Trio has been crossing the American landscape, touring and creating together, the thoughtful colors of the trio breathing a new musicality and direction into Duhon’s songwriting traditions.
The following weekend we kick off Labor Day weekend with mother-daughter duo and local favorite, Blood Sugar at Music on The Square, September 3rd, 6-8 pm. Blood Sugar is a mother and daughter duo that brings a mix of Americana, Folk, and Blues; delivering rich and mesmerizing vocals and harmonies that could only come from shared DNA.
We will keep the party going with sidewalk sales and TWO Live Music bands on Sunday! 2 pm-5 pm – Glen T and the Soundsations | 7 pm-9 pm – Delta Sonics
Keep the fun going this Labor Day weekend with live music all day at Cooper Creek Square. Starting at 2 pm, enjoy Glen T and the Soundsations in the courtyard. Then grab some dinner and come back to dance the night away with Blues sensations, the Delta Sonics. Voted Denver’s Best Blues Band six times by Westword magazine, the Delta Sonics come to Cooper Creek for a special Sunday night performance. Their music takes a Chicago Blues base and seasons it with Swing, Delta, New Orleans R&B, and some early Rock n’ Roll.
